As discussed in those other tables, the fractions used in common terminology to refer to nominal pipe sizes do not accurately reflect the true outside diameter of pipes, and the outside diameters further differ between PVC, copper, and other pipe material types.
This table was compiled using a multiplier of 25.4 to convert from inches to millimeters, and a multiplier of 0.03937 to convert from millimeters to inches.
